Sugar Butter Flour Love by Nicole Falls
I love watching cooking shows, and this story was true to the nature of cooking shows and was a cute romance.
I have to admit though, the love interest was unexpected. I just knew Isabel would be paired with the chef who friend zoned her.
Nevertheless, I did like her partner, Travis, and their enemies to lovers story. The bake off was a cute setting, and I could imagine all the recipes they were pulling together.
I would have loved to know more about them as kids and why they despised each other enough to both still harbor disdain for each other years later. Her not liking his confidence seems believable, but I think there could have been more.
Isobel rolled her eyes at Travis a lot. I understand she didn't care for him, but seemed to be holding a serious grudge. I was glad when she decided to loosen up, and their energy finally collided.
